Verona is No. 71 in Euromonitor International's Top 100 City Destinations Index 2025. The city lies in a loop of the Adige River in north-east Italy, between Venice and Milan, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, listed in 2000.
It has one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres, medieval squares and churches, and is the setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Lake Garda is about 30 km away.
