Overview
Gardens by the Bay is No. 3 in Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Best of the Best 2026 ranking of the top attractions in the world. It opened in 2012 on reclaimed land at Marina Bay. The 101-hectare park is made up of three waterfront gardens: Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central.
The gardens are part of Singapore's vision of a "City in a Garden". The outdoor gardens are free to explore. The two cooled conservatories, the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest, and some other attractions need tickets.

Best time to visit
Singapore is hot and humid all year. Visit the outdoor gardens in the early morning or the evening, and head into the air-conditioned conservatories in the midday heat or during tropical downpours. These are common in afternoon thunderstorms and in the north-east monsoon, roughly December to early March.
