Overview
The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Tanzania. Its grasslands support huge herds and their predators.
Over a year, more than a million wildebeest, with zebras and gazelles, move in a great loop between the Serengeti and Kenya's Maasai Mara.
Best time to visit
June to October for dry-season game viewing; January to February for the calving season in the south.
